FRIEND OR FOE was founded by award-winning well-established manufacturer Golden Green.
Having worked with the biggest names in the North American fashion industry, the creative team at
Golden Green decided to offer their expertise and years of experience directly to the consumer.
And so began FRIEND OR FOE’s journey, more than 25 years ago, with the idea of merging clothing with music
and sports. Since its creation, the FRIEND OR FOE concept has redefined itself in its Jazz and Blues roots,
while capturing a classic vintage aesthetic. The brand has now evolved to include all aspects of culture in
addition to luxurious fashion basics.
Made ethically in our compliant and eco-certified factories, FRIEND OR FOE
will always pursue a well-defined unique style as well as flawless quality standards.
A great garment starts at the source. That is why we source the
best yarns, like our American-grown Supima Cotton, and develop
and produce all our fabrics. It allows us to ensure all our high
quality standards are maintained throughout the whole process.
Golden Green is proudly certified by Group Ecocert for Organic
Content Standard (OCS) and for Recycled Claim Standard (RCS).
We pride ourselves in designing all our garments in our
LA-based studio and in making our production in our own
factories in DTLA and in Guatemala. All our factories are
compliant as we believe in fair treatment for all.
All the steps necessary in producing a garment are made
in one of our facilities. From cutting and dyeing to sewing
and finshing, we make sure all steps are executed
following our high quality standards.
